The Orchestra Santa Monica (OSM) Woodwind Quintet is a dynamic ensemble dedicated to inspiring young audiences through engaging, interactive performances. Comprised of Emily Senchuk (flute), Zack Borowiec (oboe), Lisa Kohorn (clarinet), Christin Phelps Webb (bassoon) and Malik Taylor (French horn), the quintet brings classical music to life with programs designed to educate and entertain. They introduce students to the unique qualities of each woodwind instrument through live demonstrations and familiar melodies, making classical music approachable, exciting and relevant.

An OSM Woodwind Quintet performance is an immersive musical journey. Each musician presents a solo that showcases the character of their instrument, from the playful “Clarinet Polka” and Peter and the Wolf to the powerful openings of The Rite of Spring and Danse Bacchanale. Their diverse repertoire spans Japanese folk songs, iconic classical works, and John Williams' beloved film scores, offering students a global musical experience. With warmth, humor, and virtuosity, the quintet fosters curiosity and connection, leaving a lasting impression on young listeners.
