We will be holding our annual costume parade on Thursday, October 31, at 9 a.m. Students will walk through our district office. Students are invited to wear a costume, but if they choose not to, they will still be able to participate in the parade. Any student not wishing to wear a costume and not wishing to participate in the parade will have the opportunity to listen to a story in the library for a special story time.

If your child comes in costume, please send school clothes for them to change into so that they will be comfortable for the rest of their educational day.
Please adhere to the following:
No masks may be worn to and during school; no face makeup.
• No weapons of any kind. (No fake guns, swords, knives, etc.)
• No fake blood or other substances allowed.
• Any wigs, hats or other tall hair or distracting pieces of a costume that could obstruct the view of others during class must be removed during class time.
• Students will be allowed to wear wigs, hats and accessories during the parade.
• Shirts cannot be low cut, open in the back, strapless or backless.
• Skirts and shorts must not be shorter than 1 inch above the knee.
• Clothing cannot be torn, ripped or shredded.
• Students must show respect for other students by not choosing costumes that are insensitive and/or offensive to the diverse background represented by Lin Howe students.
• Students must show respect to other students by not touching, defacing or insulting other students' costumes.

Parents are welcome to watch the parade.
Thank you for your assistance with this effort, and you for your continued support of Lin Howe! **
