Memo to our Next LH PTA President---Is it You?

I put together the enclosed summary of notes that came to my mind from this year as PTA President. Take a look, you can do this!
We desperately need YOU! I know you have not come forward yet, it is a little scary, yes, but so rewarding.

We simply can't have PTA without you. If you don't step forward, our PTA will go away. We just can't let this happen.
I can't wait to announce you as President. I will be there to help you, Joanna will be there, all of us will be there. You will not be alone!
You can make this your own. Know that you have a group of amazing parents who will also support you the whole way! Many of them were honored today.
Please, please, please- come forward. I just know you are out there!
Thanks,
Kathy & Our Entire LH Community

After School Cornucopia Classes Begin April 10

Spring classes start Apr. 10th. We are pleased to offer the following new classes: Mindful Kids, Comic Book Creators, Jewelry Making and Post Zombie Planning.
If your child attends aftercare on campus (Club Viking, KIK, etc.), please print out the attached waiver form, complete it and give it to your child’s aftercare staff before the first class.

School Tours with Dr. Indelicato

Call the school office to reserve a space. Tours are limited to 10 adults and will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Please be aware of parking restrictions around our school. Parking may be available for free at Culver City's City Hall (enter on Duquesne) and for a small fee at parking structures on Cardiff and Watseka, just north of Culver Boulevard.

Awesome Parent Opportunity--- Free Trip to Sacramento from PTA!

Our PTA sends one parent from LH each year on the annual Sacramento Safari Trip. This year it will be from 2/21-23 Tuesday- Thursday.
We pay for your air and hotel! You will join other parents from all of our schools and high school kids to go meet our legislators in Sacramento.

You must be an active PTA member this year.

If interested, please contact Kathy Johnson asap at bkmjaz@gmail.com.

School Supplies for New School Year

Many parents want to know what supplies would be the best to buy for their child’s classroom. The PTA has gathered some suggestions to alleviate some decision making. Purchasing supplies is not mandatory know that all donations will be shared classroom supplies used throughout the school year. These supplies can be sent directly to your child’s teacher during the first week of school. If you would like to bring them in before school starts, the office will be open beginning August 8, 8am-4pm. Please label the supplies with your child’s name so we can give to the appropriate teacher. Have a great summer!
